Whistleblowing
Whistleblowing System for the Alpitronic Group
A fundamental cornerstone of our corporate policy and Code of Ethics is compliance with legal requirements. With the implementation of an organizational model in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, a corporate compliance model has been established to adhere to the international and national legal frameworks for a company active in multiple states like Alpitronic.
In compliance with EU legal requirements as well as the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, and to ensure transparent and effective corporate compliance, Alpitronic has introduced a whistleblowing system. This system allows employees, as well as customers and suppliers, to anonymously and confidentially report weaknesses in corporate compliance. Alpitronic's stated objective is to continuously improve corporate compliance, address vulnerabilities, and promote compliance as a corporate culture through such reports.
What is Whistleblowing?
Whistleblowing is a reporting system in which individuals who are either employed by Alpitronic (employees) or interact with Alpitronic in the course of their activities (customers, suppliers, consultants) report unlawful actions or abuse within Alpitronic. Whistleblowers provide Alpitronic with information indicating that something is amiss within the company.
Why Whistleblowing?
It cannot be ruled out that actions may occur within a corporate group that are unlawful or appear to be so. Although Alpitronic endeavors to enforce compliance with laws and internal regulations through the organizational model according to Legislative Decree No. 231/2001, unlawful or questionable actions of individuals cannot be entirely eliminated. The whistleblowing system allows for the immediate detection of misconduct, prevents the commission of crimes, and enables preventive measures to be taken to avoid further criminal activities.
Are whistleblowers informants?
The term "whistleblower" often carries a negative connotation. In the press, well-known whistleblowers are celebrated as heroes by some and branded as traitors by others.
Alpitronic emphasizes that every whistleblower is not an informant but rather makes a valuable contribution to corporate culture, good relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers, and fair competition. Therefore, all reports through the whistleblowing channel are strictly confidential, and only two individuals within the Alpitronic Group have access to the channel: the chairman of the supervisory body according to Legislative Decree No. 231/2001 and the secretary of the supervisory body. Every whistleblower can submit their report anonymously. Alpitronic guarantees that every report is handled strictly confidentially, discreetly, and without any consequences for the whistleblower.
